The Big Chill

What can I say about big chill? If somebody has not gone here, he has missed out on the best Italian food and the best desserts in the entire city of New Delhi. I have been going to big chill for almost 7 yrs now..And would still love to go back for the food I have not yet had and missed out on.. On weekends you could be practically waiting for 30-45 mins to get a table, so its advisable to leave early to avoid the wait..The ambience is unique ..Posters of classic English movies occupy the entire walls ..gives a very retro and young feel to the place.. The menu is long and elaborate..My wife loves the soups and the smoothies...They have some specials every week but I guess each one is worth trying according to her.. I love to start with tuna melt or the chicken melt..Its amazing with just the right amount of cheese , cooked at perfect temperature and the perfect bread crispness. Some of my other favorites are garlic bread, white sauce pasta with mushrooms, Chicken and vegs in rosmary sauce and I could just go on with the list The highlight of the place are the desserts.. The Missisippi mud pie, Belgian choco cake, all cheesecakes all are are out of the world....Must try My wife loves the Waffels with fresh strawberries and maple syrup..They are worth trying, but it can a little while cos they bake it fresh, so order them while you still savoring the main course.. This is perfect destination for good, authentic Italian food and desserts..A perfect menu for a wholesome eat out..

I like the place as we have few outdoor, open air lounge/bar in Delhi. This is only one I have been too. The place is very modern and eclectic with its poolside wooden seating and bamboo sheds for group seating. My wife has often come across some known recognized faces of Delhi, so I guess it gets some of a elite dehlities out there. Food and cocktails are the usual with a mix up of international cuisines. Overall a fun place to go if you want to enjoy company over cocktails and music. We go there to escape the blaring music of other lounges, and have always had great time.
