Sankalp has tried to create a niche for itself in the market by being the upmarket udipi restaurant. Sadly they have failed on many counts. Firstly the food doesn't taste authentic. Yes its South Indian alright but I am paying so much I want the experience of gorging on authentic South Indian fare. Why pay Rs.50 for a vada which is available for 10 which tastes better?
The food is over priced here. The service is a laggard and the food is nothing to write home about! They do serve 7-8 different varieties of chutneys which is the only saving grace for Sankalp.
