Escape from busy Church street to this restaurant where the dining area is a large open patio with coconut trees and palms lending some greenery. Its size and roomy feel make it quite ideal for large groups. The food is from peninsular India with dishes traditional to the states of Kerala, Karataka, Tamilnadu and Andra making appearances on the menu. The food is served on banana leaves and the beverages in copper cups.
There is lots to be had here; the appams with chicken stew, Kuraliach Kadi (crabs), Pandi curry (Coorg style pork curry that you might need the stomach for!) and the Kozhi Melago (Chettinad Chicken). Wash all this down with tasty fresh coconut water.
