No seriously it is better than its famous two brethren. While the other places are frigging expensive to cater to the foreigners and make a quick buck, Alps is the saviour.
The pricing is much much lower than the other two. In fact it is as cheap as Cafe Royale which is down the road. The place doesn't have an ambiance to speak of and offers exactly what it says 'Beer Bar'. It is a beer bar alright but not for those on a tight budget. The restaurant serves Indian beer but they do keep getting imported beer as well but nothing like Quench or Sammy Sosa.
They also got good starters. Jalepeno cheese starters have always been my favourite. They also got cheese platter and manglorean chicken (I dont know why but it is tasty!). Chicken Sukha, Fish Fry, and prawns curry are some of the better dishes here. Mind you this place too gets full as it does attract the foreigners as well and those who couldn't get a seat at Mondys!
