Just off the Chamiers road is this little hideout - an art-deco bungalow, that brings a little bit of everything under its roof.
Bibliophile, showcasing a new range of coffee table books on culture, a one of its kind Gift Shop, Anokhi, a contemporary crafted textile store, that offers a diverse and colourful selection of products, The mezzanine floor showcases formal and casual clothes by the Bangalore based designer Lokesh Ahuja.
The Verandah and the external court houses the tranquil Eco-Cafe, one that serves a wide range of organic tea and coffee and a menu that's in synch with the European style café. It also houses La Boulangerie's fresh baked breads, made in accordance with the ancestral baking traditions of France.
A place that oozes comfort and relaxation to the mind, body and soul!
After all what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, lazing over a cup of tea with some friends!

Honestly, I think Anokhi a.k.a Chamiers is a nice place to while away your day. You could read a book, the guys have a wi-fi connection so you can browse away (but I think that's been put off ever since 26/11)...
Kinda overpriced for the quality and quantity they give but service is fantastic... The bearers are at your beck and call through and through...
Desserts and dishes arent great but their Beverages are decent...
Best time to go there is the afternoons or early evenings... They have a secluded place with a shade at the back so the sun wont harm....

Sitting out in the open in verdant surroundings in the heart of the city is a refreshing experience and at Anokhi, one can forget the hustle and bustle of the city as one sips on a cold coffee or digs into pasta. What I love best about Anokhi is that I can take my doggie, Hotdog along too! Whenever I meet up with friends who want to see Hotdog, we head to Anokhi!
Ambience-wise, I'd give Anokhi a resounding thumbs up; however, in terms of food, I do feel the quality has come down. For one, the menu is quite limited; secondly while some of the dishes are good, some are oh-so-ordinary. And, food doesn't come cheap at Anokhi; it is priced on the higher side so one expects quality and quantity.
Nevertheless, thanks to Hotdog, I do keep going back to Anokhi! I love the cold coffee and the potato wedges. Anokhi is a great place to catch up with friends for a quick bite or to meet a business acquaintance. What I love is the fact that you can go there alone and sit undisturbed - reading a book or working while soaking in the lovely outdoor setting.

One more of those places where the customer is left to their thoughts, whims and fancies. I grab a book or my sketchbook to spend time under the green net-covered canopy.
Ice tea to cappuccino, sandwiches to pasta, all of them are really good, tasty, and filling. However, just check how fat your wallet is before you order something. Alongside a colourful boutique, this quiet cafe gets along all day with a variety of people landing to catch up on memories, to wish away work, to concentrate on ****ignments, and to laze around. The boutique has some of the best hand woven designer clothes. You can get yourself colourful cotton boxers too.
The place for everything, but please don't go there unless you know someone is going to treat you or that you know you can resist a cappuccino and still enjoy the atmosphere. Chirpy, peaceful, filled with lives! Read Less

| Anokhi is a unique boutique and coffee shop. With a variety of beverages, snacks, and pastas and secluded, peaceful seating it markets itself as a very elegant place. There is also a boutique that shelves a colorful array of Rajasthan inspired Indian attire, jewelery, etc. |
