Many come and go but there are those who stand still even as time passes, even as the crowds go bigger, even as the state becomes more commercial.
At one end there is the Aguada Fort while at the other there is Souza Lobo. Standing tall since the last 80 years, this place is synonymous with Calangute beach.
Souza Lobo is one of those places where I just love to stuff myself up with starters. Butter prawns, fish fry, chicken kebas pork chilly, calamari - you name it and it is available. It is one of the few beach side restaurants where even the locals dare to eat once in a while.
They continue well into the night serving delicious food right on the sands of Calangute - an experience that every traveler needs to undertake just to understand the history of this place!

Accidentally came across this place and must say its a good find. Great chicken steak and pomfret fry. It seems like they have many loyal customers as you could see the recognition in the waiter's faces. Had to try and get the waiter's attention considering it was packed and more so with the regulars.
