The restaurant has had a makeover and opened on the first anniversary of the 26/11 terrorist attack. The place has is stylishly designed with Chinese lanterns adorning much of the restaurant.
The service at the restaurant was courteous, prompt and very professional. We were well attended to and all our questions and concerns were appropriately addressed.
We started with a classic sweet corn chicken soup and a Curried Vegetable soup. Both were very good. The curried soup seemed like a perfect blend of Indian, Thai and Chinese flavors. The hint of lemon grass definitely added a kick to the soup.
For entrees we had the Sticky rice wrapped in a leaf, shredded duck and a selection of dumplings. The shredded duck was tender yet a bit salty for my tastes. The dumplings were pretty good although I did not much care for the Mushroom cheese dumpling. It did not seems to agree with my taste sensibilities. Others might feel otherwise!
The deserts were very good. Both our orders were quite exceptional. If you have a taste for dark chocolate, try the Dark Chocolate Dimsum drizzled in Saffron sauce. The Apple dumpling was the other dessert that did also hit the spot.
All in all a great experience. Its pricey but you do feel you get your money's worth.
