Copper Chimney has been synonymous with Indian food. Copper Chimney has held its own in face of competition from restaurants which serve global cuisine. In Mumbai, Indian cuisine is something that has become a rarity of sorts.
Fortunately though, Copper Chimney is here to the rescue. I like the place and the ambiance. True to its name, the place is donned in copper. From the cutlery to the ceiling, the place is covered with copper which adds a sort of a charm to the restaurant.
They serve drinks too though are a tad bit too expensive for my liking. Nonetheless, the prices aren't exorbitant either so a drink here isn't a problem. They stock the usual domestic and a few international liqueurs.
The food here is excellent. Unsure if they refresh the menu or not, the food is good. We ordered naan, roomali roti, chicken chettinad, paneer tikka to satiate ourselves. The food was good, in fact great. The rotis were brilliant too. The curries weren't oily thankfully! The pricing is on the higher side as the meal cost us Rs.1,000 and the service tax and the service charge included, the meal come to around 1200!
