Shree Krishna is perhaps the most well known vegetarian chain of restaurant all across Mumbai. Many swear by its food, some grab a quick grub, some go here for the cheap but good food and some because its been proven since time immemorial.
The outlet at Khar is no different. it satiates hunger pangs of hundreds day in and day out. And many are loyalists, visiting the restaurant or ordering from here for as long as they can remember. I am one such person and when craving for simple idli wada, masala dosa, rava dosa, chole bhature, puri bhaji, samosas or any vegetarian punjabi dish - I call upon Shree Krishna. While working at Bandra, used to visit Sree Krishna or order from here regularly.
I advise people to visit as the food is fresh rather than order as it takes way too much time. Some of my favourites here are Rava Masala Dosa and Chole Bhature for lunch/dinner and puri Bhaji for breakfast. They also make some excellent lassi!
One needs to be careful though for they love making people fat and supple by adding tonnes of oil to your food. But other wise, the food is tasty and very filling as well as satisfying.
