This all new reservation only restaurant is another great addition to the expanding restaurant scene in Chennai. Located above Benjarong, you enter the main restaurant and take the stairs up to the neat dining space above.
The restaurant is a great treat for kids and adults a like. There is a lot of action and thrills at the table. The menu is simple and straightforward. Either chose the set menu or ala carte. The set menu comes with a buffet of desserts which are served in a separate parlour room.
I had the vegetarian set menu priced at Rs.650. The meal started with Miso soup and a green salad. The rest of the items that followed were vegetarian tempura and grilled noodles. The others on my table had Yaki soba, Yaki Udon and Grilled Sea Bass, they all enjoyed their individual dishes very much.
Apparently they plan to start serving Sushi and Sashimi soon too. They do not server liquor and are open for lunch and dinner.
My family had a great experience and we look forward to return again! Read Less

We recently tried the new restaurant at Benjarong and took the grandkids along for the show. The new addition is located above Benjarong. It is a small space with three tepanyaki stations and a few stand alone tables.
We were seated promptly and the show began soon as we placed our order. I had the Seafood Set Menu @ Rs.950
The courses started with a House salad and a choice of dressing followed with hot Miso soup. Once we were done, I was served a mix of vegetable and seafood tempura. For the main course I had a grilled piece each of Snapper and Sea Bass. As a side had chicken fried rice. All all this while the chef clanged and banged his utensils and knifes against the hot plate. The theatrics were definitely entertaining.
When done with the food we were directed to a separate section where we had a choice of desserts. Made somewhat sense as the desserts may not have held up against the heat of the teppan. The desserts were not all Japanese and may have been from the bakery below.
They have other choices of set menus: Mixed @ Rs.1250 and Veg @ 650.
The concept is great and service very good. The overall experience is also great but the food is good at best. So all in all I would still recommend this place!
