The most highlighting part about this place is the ambience. You’re far away from the loud-noisy polluted streets as the place is brimmed with cherishing backdrops with water being the main theme of the restaurant. The whole place is in the outdoors and indoors - wherever you are, you never far from the sound of flowing water.
The water body inside the restaurant is a bit tacky, but the arrangement on the outside is simply exquisite. Sitting by the cafe, the sound of the water almost lulls you into a trance.
For a more serious dining experience, Crimson Chakra promises to bring to your table South Indian Grills with a twist. The concept is a fixed menu. where you have a choice of veg and non veg and comes with a welcome drink, soup, starters and the main course consisted of a roti / appam with 2 side dishes and a rice dish. Although there is scope to improve on the quality of food, I would give high credit for attempting to create versatile dishes like the Pattinam Fish Mince skewered on live coal, the Solakarai Naan, etc,
The show stealer was this specific dessert - the cotton seeds make a delightful Anaikatti Cotton Seed Souffle when they are blended with black jaggery. A simply superb dish with and amazing balance among the ingredients, in comparison with the other 2 desserts which is a tad too sweet.
Also, Crimson Chakra is pet friendly. Dogs on leash, accompanied by their masters have an exclusive zone to enjoy an evening out.
